Can Horse Have Fishmox

smoking in the Hemingway Bar

beginning of this year knows France a strict ban on smoking in the restaurant industry. The legendary Hemingway Bar at the Ritz was until now the meeting place for cigar-lovers of Paris. On my last visit in Spring 2007 was on every table big cigar ashtray. The chief bartender Colin Peter Field offers on its menu of special drinks for cigar smokers. I wanted to know from him whether in the Hemingway Bar, smoking still allowed. The new law would allow strictly separated and unattended Fumoir. Here is the reply from Colin Peter Field at me:

"Unfortunately, smoking in the Hemingway Bar, and in every other bar was illegal in France. Of course we regret it very much, but we console ourselves with the thought that we might now allow many people who might previously not the smoky ambience of the bar, a visit with us. " *

Compared to the Herald Tribune said Colin Peter Field: take "We do not party. The bar will continue to sell 40 to 50 different exquisite cigars and makes plans to make available from spring seats outside for smokers "in the New York Times added Mr.Field.
.
"If you've hung up, you will not drown too." **

* Unfortunately smoking in the Hemingway bar or any other bar in France has been banned by French law. This is of course very upsetting to us but we console ourselves with the idea that perhaps a lot of people that did not enjoy the smoky ambience of the bar will now have an opportunity to visit us.
** „We are not taking sides. The bar will continue to sell from 40 to 50 different types of vintage cigars, and is studying plans to renovate its outdoor spaces to accommodate smokers when spring comes.“ Herald Tribune
„Once you’ve hung yourself, you’re not going to drown yourself as well.“ The New York Times
